The participant set an easy goal — write one line each morning before speaking to anyone. Thirty lines, no revision permitted.

On day thirty she found the lines had arranged themselves into a single poem about accounting: what is kept, what is spent, what is quietly written off.

She has asked that the work appear without her name. Challenge & Compass publishes it exactly as requested.
